Cupressus sempervirens "Totem" is a conifer with a columnar crown, much narrower and more compact than the Pyramidalis variety. This shape persists into adulthood. Under optimal conditions, it can reach 8-10 meters in height. It is a long-lived plant, slower growing than the Pyramidalis variety from which it derives. Its leaves are scale-shaped and bright green. It flowers infrequently from February to May.
