This variety is a deciduous tree, characterized by vigorous growth, excellent productivity, and medium size, reaching a maximum height of 7-8 meters. The trunk is variably branched and brown in color, while the leaves are heart-shaped, opposite, and dark green with serrated edges.
Apricot trees bloom in late winter and early spring, producing chalice-shaped, white-pink flowers from which the fruit develops. The Apricot Tardiva D'Agosto variety, as its name suggests, ripens from late August to early September. The fruit is medium-sized, oval in shape, with yellow skin and slight red hues, while the flesh is orange, fleshy, and sweet. It can be eaten fresh or used in desserts, jams, and juices.
The apricot tree is a plant that is very resistant to low temperatures, but it is advisable to protect it from spring frosts. It prefers sunny locations but can also adapt to partially shaded areas. It thrives in good-quality, well-drained soil. Watering should be regular, especially during the summer, avoiding waterlogging.
