Vitillo

A mid-ripening plant, characterized by a medium-high growth habit and vigor. Productivity is high and consistent, with fruiting predominantly on mixed branches. The fruit is large, ovate-elliptical, yellow-orange in color, with a red blush only on the exposed side.
The pulp is a deep orange color and very firm, easily separating from the stone (it pops out). It offers good flavor, with a balanced, slightly acidic flavor and an intense aroma. However, the fruit does not keep well on the tree.
Overall, this variety is very interesting for its fruit appearance and flavor, making it particularly suited to the hilly areas of Southern Italy. In the plains, it may present some difficulties with productivity and blush formation.
