It is a highly vigorous deciduous tree with excellent consistent productivity and remarkable longevity, capable of reaching a height of up to 10 meters. The trunk is short and branched, light gray in color, and the leaves are large and oblong, composed of three to five lobes, dark green on the upper surface and lighter green on the underside.
The Verdino fig ripens in June and is characterized by a spherical shape that tapers slightly toward the top. The fruits are medium-sized and have a bright green skin, while the flesh is fleshy, a beautiful reddish color, and very sweet.
The Verdino fig shrub is hardy and tolerates low temperatures well, although spring frosts can damage the branches and trunk. It prefers sunny locations, but can also tolerate partial shade.
