This late-ripening variety is medium-vigorous, with a globular, spreading habit and consistently high yields. It has proven highly adaptable to a variety of growing environments, thanks in part to its good cold tolerance.
The medium-sized fruit has an elongated, asymmetrical ellipsoid shape, a beautiful dark blue-purple color, and is covered with a rich bloom. However, the early coloration of the fruit often forces producers to harvest them prematurely, especially in the North, even before mid-August, thus compromising their excellent characteristics.
The internal flesh is yellow-green, very firm, with a balanced mix of sweetness and acidity, though not very aromatic, and is easily removed from the stone. This variety has excellent organoleptic qualities, appreciated for fresh consumption, but is also ideal for industrial processing, such as syruping or drying.
