The only red-skinned variety that ripens early (1-4 days earlier than Shiro), it is proving attractive in northern and central Italy due to its hardiness, high and consistent productivity, and excellent flavor. The tree is medium vigorous with a very open habit, begins producing early, and offers a high and consistent yield. It is self-incompatible and requires pollinators such as Shiro, Sorriso di P., and Morettini 355. The fruit is medium-large, round, asymmetrical, and has a reddish-purple bloom.
